EFRvisioning

An EFRvisioning project provides clients with a comprehensive and customized application of the EFR approach tailored to the client’s issues and concerns.

  • An individual contemplating a significant life change,
  • A family or organization facing intergenerational planning decisions,
  • An organization or network of stakeholders considering a major decision or change in direction.

All projects culminate in a Composite Summary that describes the background mechanisms of change influencing the future, the desired scenario, the undesired scenario, and a strategic outline that the client can further develop to make the desired scenario more probable and the undesired one less probable. Each EFRvisioning project begins with an initial consultation between the prospective client and an EFRsource staff person. After this, if the project seems appropriate to us and to them, a design is created, expectations are defined, and a timeline and budget are established. An EFRvisioning project might include just one interview with a single client, or multiple interviews - up to 20. All EFRvisioning projects involve an in-depth ethnographic-style interview designed to help the interviewee transcend tempocentrism, plus summaries and vetting of the interview material, plus consensus building (for groups), plus the provision of a strategic outline which the client can then further develop for realizing their desired future. EFRsource is only able to accept EFRvisioning projects that are consistent with our ethical obligation to our client and ourselves (Our Ethical Stance).
